Welcome to Collector's Box. By creating an account, accessing, or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use Collector's Box. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

2. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You may not share your account with others or allow unauthorized access.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use Collector's Box to:

• Post, share, or transmit any pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene content.
• Engage in cyberbullying, harassment, threats, intimidation, or hate speech directed at any user.
• Share personal information of others (including phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, or financial information) without their explicit consent.
• Post or transmit content that promotes violence, illegal activity, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
• Attempt to deceive, defraud, scam, or mislead other users.
• Upload malware, viruses, or any other harmful software or code.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the platform.
• Use automated bots, scrapers, or other unauthorized tools to access the platform.
• Impersonate any person, business, or entity.
• Solicit personal information from minors.

4. Content Moderation

Collector's Box employs automated and manual content moderation systems. Our chat and messaging features actively screen for:

• Phone numbers and personal contact information
• Email addresses
• Vulgar, profane, or offensive language

Messages that violate these policies may be flagged, hidden, or removed. Users who repeatedly violate content policies will be subject to account suspension or termination.

5. Marketplace Terms

5.1 Buying and Selling

The Collector's Box marketplace allows users to buy and sell collectible items. By using the marketplace, you acknowledge and agree that:

• All transactions are conducted at the buyer's own risk.
• Collector's Box acts as a platform facilitator, not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers.
• Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of item descriptions, condition, and pricing.
• Buyers are responsible for reviewing item descriptions and asking questions before purchasing.
• All buying and selling activity is monitored for fraud prevention and policy compliance.

5.2 Refunds and Disputes

Refund requests will be evaluated based on factual evidence provided to our support team. You acknowledge that:

• Refunds are granted at the sole discretion of Collector's Box.
• Evidence must include photographs, correspondence, tracking information, or other verifiable documentation.
• Refund decisions are final and not subject to appeal unless new evidence is presented.
• Collector's Box reserves the right to withhold funds, suspend accounts, or ban users involved in fraudulent transactions.
• Chargebacks initiated outside our dispute process may result in immediate account termination.

5.3 Prohibited Items

You may not list, sell, or trade:

• Stolen property or items of questionable provenance
• Counterfeit, replica, or knock-off items misrepresented as authentic
• Weapons, drugs, or any illegal items
• Items that infringe on intellectual property rights

6. Subscription and Payment

• Subscription fees are billed monthly through Stripe and are non-refundable except where required by law.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Collector's Box reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
• Failure to pay may result in account suspension or downgrade.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, and software on Collector's Box are the property of Collector's Box and its licensors. You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, descriptions) but grant Collector's Box a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the platform.

8. Privacy and Use of Information

Your use of Collector's Box is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Collector's Box will never sell your personal information to third parties. However, by using the platform you acknowledge and agree that Collector's Box may use your information (including name, email address, and usage data) for internal marketing purposes related to Collector's Box, including but not limited to:

• Sending promotional emails, newsletters, and platform updates about Collector's Box features and services.
• Personalizing your experience with targeted recommendations within the platform.
• Analyzing usage patterns to improve and market Collector's Box services.
• Communicating about new features, events, promotions, and partnerships offered by Collector's Box.

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time through your account preferences or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

9. Violations and Enforcement

Violations of these Terms may result in, at Collector's Box's sole discretion:

• Warning — First-time minor violations may receive a written warning.
• Temporary suspension — Account access may be suspended pending investigation.
• Permanent termination — Serious or repeated violations will result in permanent account closure and forfeiture of any subscription fees paid.
• Legal action — Collector's Box reserves the right to pursue legal action, including but not limited to civil claims and criminal referrals, for fraud, harassment, intellectual property theft, or any activity that causes harm to the platform or its users.
• Reporting to authorities — Activity involving minors, illegal goods, or threats of violence will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.

10. Limitation of Liability

Collector's Box is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for:

• Loss or damage arising from marketplace transactions between users
• Unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to secure credentials
• Service interruptions, data loss, or technical issues
• The accuracy, quality, or legality of items listed by other users

In no event shall Collector's Box's total liability exceed the amount you paid in subscription fees during the preceding 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Collector's Box, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Modifications

Collector's Box reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
